The Surreal News on WSLR 96.5 featured the New College of Florida event “Ciudad Juárez: The Other Side of Globalization,” on Friday, March 26, during their 9-10 am program. Tony Nelson of the Mexico-U.S. Solidarity Network discussed the work of event speaker Verónica Leyva, community organizer and native of the Mexican border city Juárez. The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 4:30 pm on March 30, 2011, at Mildred Sainer Pavilion, 5313 Bay Shore Road.
