University of Central Florida student body president Cortez Whatley has been named the student member of the state’s 17-member State University System Board of Governors. Whatley, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree with independent majors in legal studies and public administration, and a minor in political science, has served in the UCF student body senate and as attorney general for the student government association. … The term is for one year. He succeeds New College of Florida junior Michael Long.
