Other than its sign on a Tamiami Trail overpass, New College of Florida is somewhat hidden just north of University Parkway. But soon, passers-by on U.S. 41 will see a highly visible welcome to the college after it builds a roughly six-story bell tower at its library. Construction is now under way on the 64-foot-tall bell tower and a renovated plaza at the New College library.
