New College Professor Carrie Beneš will represent New College of Florida in the American Historical Association’s three-year initiative to “tune the history major.” New College is one of 60 colleges and universities nationwide participating in the initiative. The goals are to develop the nation’s guidelines to ensure college history students are learning the skills necessary—such as critical thinking, analyzation and communication—in order to enter graduate school and the workforce.
