[Exec Moves] O’Shea Becomes Fifth New College President

Donal O’Shea officially began his position as New College of Florida’s fifth president as of July 1, following the retirement of Gordon E. Michalson, Jr. O’Shea was the dean of faculty and vice president for academic affairs at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, before coming to New College. He attained a bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Harvard and master’s and doctoral degrees in mathematics at Queen’s University in Canada.
